Any oppos who’re playing through/have finished fallout 4? I’ve put about 45 hours in to a campaign so far, and I’ve only gone through about 1/2 of Boston...

I’m kinda interested to see what others are doing for their play styles/choices. Right now, I’ve done all the minutemen quests, have joined the railroad, and am a member of the Brotherhood. What did y’all do?

I’m taking my time with it. Trying not to fast travel at all. Just hit level 40 and joined the Institute today. I’m doing a charisma-based character, which is kind of way more useless than in 3 and New Vegas, but it’s funny getting drunk and trying to seduce characters like Danse and Garvey. Supposed to be shitty and rainy all week, so I’ll probably get some serious time in the next few days.

Well, I stuck with the railroad until I got the deliverer, then worked up the brotherhood line until they reveal their jackassery, then went with the institute. I guess the Minutemen are there too...

I finished the main quest, I’m the director of the Institute. I did it because I thought I could change their whole thing and help the commonwealth, but apparently I am stuck being in charge of an evil organization. Oh well.

I have something like 65 hours in? Nearly 3 days. I’ve been doing a fair amount of settlement building, I have a giant structure at Sanctuary and a modestly large setup at Starlight Drive-In and I just set up beacons at a few more places and have trade routes running that connect nearly all my settlements.

I’m probably in a similar spot, hours wise. Haven’t checked recently. I ignored the minutemen because they seemed a bit randomly generated, I should get back to the castle thing though. I’m also in Brotherhood and Railroad and am most of the way through the main quest but currently side tracked.

Loving it :D Recently I’ve just been exploring, trying to see all the random locations I can see on my radar. They all have something interesting in them, I’m getting nothing done but it’s great regardless.

I played about 50 hours, then went back to New Vegas, because the gameplay (minus the shooting and AI) is so much more enjoyable.

I like to do a mixed charisma intelligence and strength build (I literally pick up everything so I need it...) so I get that. charisma is awesome, but I’m too nice to pick the 'sarcastic' options too commonly

I’m not sure how trading routes work, so if you could elaborate, that’d be great!

I too have a big set-up at sanctuary, but am just starting to work on starlight.

I've already built a few turrets at the slog too

I honestly like the minutemen best. they remind me of fallout 3 brotherhood, and I’m not a fan of the fallout 4 BOS (although danse is awesome to have)

Me too. I thought I was a genius setting up a couple settlements like hubs for airlines thinking that would make everything connected, but apparently it doesn’t work that way. And since the interface is so shitty, now I’m stuck with like 50 settlers running useless supply lines.

I just give danse all those BS guns I find, and then sell them to Arturo or someone.

I remember when I coveted hunting rifles in hour ten, and now I sell like 5 at a time!

I’m disgusting dude. I have shops set up all over the place, so I’m never really hurting for caps, and I just have a dresser with like hundreds of pipe guns and 10mms.

The minutemen seem like the most honest and with the clearest agenda, but I haven’t really gotten into them.

I’m at 97 hours so far, and I’ve been doing missions for every faction; Minutemen, Brotherhood of Steel, Railroad and The Institute. I’m making sure to stay away from any “end-game” stuff as I still haven’t decided who to side with.

Basically I’m doing side quests and exploring the wasteland looking for awesome pre-war lore. So far I’ve found a good deal of it.

You have to get the Local Leader perk I think, then you can assign settlers to ‘Supply Lines’. They will then walk back and forth between settlements and you can use raw materials stored at connected settlements.

Played through once already, beat the game as a melee based character (fuck yes Kremvuh’s Tooth!), sided with the Institute (even though I felt that story was weak), and then just murdered everyone I could find.

Second playthough I decided to cheat with the “You’re Special/Dogmeat” exploit to get a character with perfect 10 stats in every SPECIAL. I’m kinda playing as a business man, getting caps-based perks and setting up caravan routes and shops at all my settlements. I’ve gotten my character to be an awesome sniper, she can kill a Deathclas in 1 shot from a Gauss rifle, and a Mirelurk Queen in 3.

Member of the Brotherhood of Steel after doing a bunch of minutesmen crap, Piper is my girlfriend, I have yet to meet the railroad or the institute, story wise I’m up to the point of getting into the institute, but I’m just exploring now and just freed the USS Constitution from the infernal savings and loan, aka the best mission ever.

No. When you go to a settler the voices should be ‘Assign’ ‘Move’ and ‘Supply Lines’
